Congo Latumba Medium Roast
The return of one of our favourite coffee beans. This particular lot is from the AMKA Cooperative, which is located near Lake Kivu in the town of Latumba, Minova Sector. It consists of 1,200 members all growing lovely coffee for us.
The AMKA Cooperative was organised in 2013 and built the Kahawa Latumba washing station just before their inaugural season. The cooperative is led by Kabugoyi Andre. In 2015 they produced 60,000 kgs of green coffee and are going from strength to strength.
This particular coffee is typical of the region and has flavours of complex rich tropical fruit. Sweet, clean, savoury, candied raisin. Rich juicy body. Crisp lemon rind acidity.
