India Monsooned Malabar Medium/Dark Roast
These Monsooned Malabar coffee beans are the highest grade (AA) Arabica coffee from India and have a distinctive spicy flavour. This coffee is usually roasted a little darker to intensify the flavours.
The coffee beans are processed in a very unique way.
The process starts with a bean that has been dry-processed in the normal way. It is then allowed to mature by exposing it to the moisture-laden monsoon winds that occur in the late summer.
As a result the raw coffee bean swells to double its original size and turns to a golden colour.
Following the monsoon season, the beans are transferred to a drier region where they lose some of their moisture before being bagged, graded and shipped out.
This process results in the distinctive aroma and flavour with much lower acidity due to the monsooning process.
Flavours: Low acidity, heavy full body with strong earthy and spicy notes and aromas of dark chocolate and Cinnamon.
Available in 200g or 450g resealable bags.

It is not easy to find coffee from India. Usually not that available in shops as coffee beans. I was happy to find one here as my partner is a big fun of this type of coffee.Great to have it with lunch or something sweet.
I am a first time customer To Pepple and Pine. I ordered the Monsooned Malabar beans. These have a stong flavour that makes it perfect for expresso. I found hints of chocolate and spice. The coffee is smooth and on the low end of the bitterness scale which is right up my street!
The beans are freshly roasted and are quite soft. I would recommend a fine grind when making expresso.
Delivery was fast considering the current challenges.
I’m 100% satisfied with the service and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pepple and Pine to anyone who loves great coffee.
Great flavour, a bit light I felt.
I wouldn't have bought it again if it wasn't just what you want in a dark roasted coffee - I'm drinking some as I type and it really i spicy, dark and chocolate
I found this to be too weak. Tried doubling up quantities but still too weak and lacking in any real taste
