India Monsooned Malabar Medium/Dark Roast
These Monsooned Malabar coffee beans are the highest grade (AA) Arabica coffee from India and have a distinctive spicy flavour. This coffee is usually roasted a little darker to intensify the flavours.
The coffee beans are processed in a very unique way.
The process starts with a bean that has been dry-processed in the normal way. It is then allowed to mature by exposing it to the moisture-laden monsoon winds that occur in the late summer.
As a result the raw coffee bean swells to double its original size and turns to a golden colour.
Following the monsoon season, the beans are transferred to a drier region where they lose some of their moisture before being bagged, graded and shipped out.
This process results in the distinctive aroma and flavour with much lower acidity due to the monsooning process.
Flavours: Low acidity, heavy full body with strong earthy and spicy notes and aromas of dark chocolate and Cinnamon.
Available in 200g or 450g resealable bags.

I ordered this coffee for a friend any really liked it and he wants me to order some more now great coffee David thank you
Absolutely nice with full bodied rich aroma. Gives a round smooth base when mixed with some other coffees from Pebble and Pine. Nowadays I usually mix it with the Mexican Aurora in 2/1 ratio. What a perfect match these are...
The result is a creamy smooth and even richer flavoured espresso shot which taste can even more elevated with frothed milk.
Good enough for me to purchase the 450gm size this time round. Fills the kitchen with its aroma when freshly ground and makes a lovely rich and robust cup any way I make it. Nice crema on espresso. Will buy again.
I gave this to my son in law for Christmas. He’s just had his first cup and he loves it. He is drinking it without his usual milk and really appreciates the taste..
I ordered this Monsoon coffee from Pebble and Pine and it was delivered within a few days, an excellent service. I also received a handwritten note from Dave Nixon welcoming me to his company, a very nice touch. I can not fault this company and would have no hesitation in using them again.
My expectations of the Monsoon coffee was very high as I had read a lot about the process of its manufacture. It was not as strong as I had expected and not so vastly different from other top class coffees. Thus saying, I found it to be a really good, tasty coffee, quite light in colour and with no bitter aftertaste. I was expecting a more robust, dark roasted, chocolate flavour, but nevertheless I am not disappointed and would probably order it again as there is no fault with the coffee, the fault being more with me.
