This lovely coffee from El Salvador has a smooth rich mouthfeel and flavours of Apple, cherry and caramel. This is a great everyday coffee due to its light and smooth flavour.

It comes from the Finca Santa Leticia estate in the heart of El Salvador, quite close to the San Vicente volcano.

The land itself was acquired by Francisco Menéndez in 1870, who became the constitutional president of El Salvador in 1886. Menéndez promoted the cultivation of coffee in the western part of the country.

Leticia Menéndez, daughter of Francisco, got married to Higinio Valdivieso who, in honour of his wife, named the farm Santa Leticia.

Ricardo and Mauricio Valdivieso, their grandsons, own and run this beautiful farm situated in Apaneca, a mysterious place and home of Mayan philosophers.

Santa Leticia has fertile volcanic soil, considered one of the best lands in Central America for coffee cultivation.

Smooth cup of coffee

Really great coffee. Smooth and easy goes down the well. Makes great flat white or as pure espresso.

Great coffee

Out of all the coffee I brought from pebble and pine this one is my favourite to date it's got a real nice flavour so easy to drink that I got to get some more now great coffee

So nice. Best I've had from Pebble and Pine (and that's saying something). Good it was available in 1kg bags.

Drink with fresh cream sweetened with a little honey and it's like nectar of the Gods

This coffee is indeed very good!

Very to my tastes, hardly a coffee tasting aficionado but regardless I found it had slight nutty (walnut??) overtones, a nice rounded acidity - I enjoy this in coffee, I tend to do quite an overextracted press. Fabulous freshness, a nice little bubble when hot water is added. A crisp roast as well, even just eating a bean is a pleasure. Good stuff!

I prefer dark roasted beans, this is a lovely tasting coffee
