Brazil Andre Sanchez Estate Medium Roast

This natural processed Brazilian coffee bean comes from the Andre Sanchez estate in the unique volcanic terroir of Pocos de Caldas. The farm sits on the edge of a volcanic caldera with rich fertile soils and a climate perfect for growing speciality coffee.
Andre Sanchez first came to the region in 1968 and acquired what was, at the time, an old abandoned coffee farm named Boa Vista. He immediately set about renovating the farm, which is now managed by his grandsons Andra and Joao Paulo.
The estate covers approximately 250 hectares of quite steep terrain and employs around 400 people who rely on the estate for their income. The workers on the estate also enjoy the benefit of a health centre, school and community school. There is a strong social and environmental awareness within the family.
