Brazil Fazenda Sao Jose Medium Roast
This particular Brazilian coffee bean is an excellent natural processed variety from the Fazenda Sao Jose estate in the Sul de Minas region. The farm is owned by Manoel Teodoro Ferreira and his wife Maria Aparecida Ferreira, who have been married for a very respectable 51 years! They are still actively involved in the day to day running of the 46 hectare farm, which devotes 30% of the area to a nature reserve.
Due to its geographical location and horse-shoe shape, the farm has its own little micro-climate that contributes to the high quality of coffee it produces. This results in an SCA cupping score for this particular coffee bean of 84.5.
In terms of flavour characteristics, this coffee bean has fruity notes of cherry and orange with a milk chocolate and hazelnut background, a mild acidity and creamy body. Perfect for any coffee brewing method.
