Colombia Excelso Medium Roast
Colombia Excelso Medium Roast
Our latest Colombia Excelso Coffee hails from the renowned Huila region - a place where coffee is not just a crop, but a legacy. Nestled among the towering Andes mountains, Huila's unique microclimate and fertile soils offer the perfect canvas for growing the exquisite Arabica beans that make our Excelso coffee a true masterpiece.
Our Colombia Excelso beans are carefully cultivated at altitudes that can reach up to 2,000 meters, allowing for a slow maturation that enhances the coffee's complexity and flavour. The dedicated farmers in Huila employ sustainable practices, handpicking each cherry at the peak of ripeness to ensure the highest quality and sustainability standards.
The term "Excelso" is a grading term for Colombian coffee, not a variety or flavour indication, but it speaks to the size and quality of the bean. Our Excelso beans are medium-sized, promising a cup that's rich in flavour and aroma. The meticulous wet processing method used in Huila involves fermenting the freshly picked cherries to remove the mucilage before washing and drying them. This careful process preserves the bean's natural flavours and acidity, resulting in a clean, balanced cup.
Dive into a cup of our Colombia Excelso, and you'll be greeted with a harmonious blend of juicy acidity and smooth body. Flavour notes of caramel, toasted nuts, and hints of fruity undertones - think cherries and blackberries - dance together, creating a delightful sipping experience. The finish is crisp and clean, with a lingering sweetness that makes you reach for another cup.

I thought that Ipanema could never be beaten for flavour but the Excelso is definitely giving it a run for its money. Another very flavoursome medium roasted from South America. Will buy again.
I love this coffee too. I bought whole beans to grind for filter (pour over) and it's a really lovely cup of coffee. I am trying to decide if I will choose this or the Peruvian as my go-to.
Love this coffee it has a lovely flavour and is really versatile
Thought I’d try this for a change after dark roast. Very nearly as good but personally still prefer dark roast. Splitting hairs between 5 stars and 5 stars +.
Very nice creamy flavour makes good latte art
