Honduras Gea – Speciality Coffee from Women-Owned Farms

Inspired by the Greek goddess of the Earth, Gea (pronounced hay-uh), this speciality washed coffee from Honduras is a tribute to over 400 women farmers. Brought together by exporter Becamo, this unique blend showcases the skill and dedication of women who are transforming their communities through coffee.

These female coffee farmers rise early to manage both home and farm life, bringing passion and precision to every stage of coffee production. Whether they began farming through personal choice or life circumstances, they’ve built something extraordinary. With shared knowledge, hands-on support, and a focus on quality, they’re creating a brighter future - one harvest at a time.

Honduras Gea is a single origin organically produced coffee, grown in the high-altitude regions of Lempira, Ocotepeque, Intibucá, Copán, La Paz, El Paraíso and Comayagua. These women-owned farms sit between 1,100 and 1,650 metres above sea level and use eco-friendly methods such as planting fruit and timber trees alongside coffee. These sustainable techniques boost soil health and therefore flavour, creating ideal conditions for complex, high-quality beans.

Tasting Notes: Smooth and layered with flavours of caramel, almond, toffee, apple and apricot. A smooth body with juicy acidity completes the cup.
