Kenya AB Honey Bush Medium Roast
Kenya is well known for its highly organised network of coffee cooperatives. This system produces remarkable consistency in growing methods, milling, and auctioning across a web of about 150,000 growers, the majority of which are small-scale farmers. The topography of high-altitude plateaus in major Kenyan coffee regions combined with acidic soil provides excellent growing conditions for Arabica coffee.
All Kenyan coffee is graded primarily by screen size (a measure of the size of the bean, larger being higher grade) immediately after milling; it then proceeds to the weekly auction at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange. The AB Grade is one of the top grades based on screening.
The Kenya profile is very unique and distinguishes itself easily from other origins. A citrus brightness all along the palate and notes of vanilla and bergamot merge with complex winey flavours. A medium body provides balance and grounding.
Cup Characteristics:
bright big citrus, lemon acidity, black currant, spice, nutmeg, balanced and clean, chocolate, sugar cane aftertaste.
Growing Altitude: 3,500-6,000 feet above sea level.
Arabica Varieties: SL-28, SL-34.
Harvest Period: October-December; Fly Crop June-August.
Milling Process: Washed, patio dried.
Aroma: Nutmeg, berry.
Flavour: Citrus, berry, notes of spice.
Body: Medium.
Acidity: bright.

My first order from pebble and pine. Bought the selection pack and a couple of others. This is the favourite for me. Lovely aroma, not bitter at all but a well balanced and rounded cup of coffee. Lovely creamy taste almost . I’ll definitely be ordering more of this one and I’m excited to try the rest I’ve bought.

We enjoyed this but found it slightly too acidic so mixed with some other beans. It maybe our lightweight Sage Bambino which doesn't extract light- medium roasts well.

Can I taste nutmeg, blackcurrant or chocolate? Lol no. But the coffee pour is beautiful, smells amazing and tastes fab. Not bitter at all.

This is my favourite of all the coffees that I have tried from this company, and all the rest are very good.It has a well balanced, rounded, and easy flavour with it, when being drunk at any time of the day.
Kenya AA is one of my favourite, although this is AB grade, the flavor full with cocoa, dark fruit notes and round acidity. The taste smooth, clean and balanced for espresso. I hope for medium-dark roast indeed, see if it is possible make with this special instruction on next order :P. Thanks.
Brought this blend at the same time as Yirgacheffe blend, and this is the superior one for me, more intense flavour.
Great notes, really works well as a flat white, and also with Monin Roasted Hazelnut
