Decaf coffee beans or ground decaf?
For the absolute freshest taste it's always better to own your own grinder and grind only the amount you need. However, if you don't have your own grinder then of course we can grind it for you. Just choose the correct option for your preferred brew method on the product page when you add to cart.
Please bear in mind that coffee stored as ground loses its flavour much more quickly compared with coffee stored in whole bean form. That's why it's much better to grind yourself if at all possible.
Can I get decaf on a subscription?
Yes of course. Just choose the Your Choice Subscription and pick the decaf coffee you'd like to be included when selecting the box contents. Once you're setup with a subscription we can do the rest - making sure you keep topped up with lovely freshly roasted decaf coffee all the time.
Why does fresh decaf coffee taste better?
Decaf coffee beans tend to lose their flavour much quicker than the normal caffeinated kind. This is because there is additional processing that is done to remove the caffeine, resulting in a slightly altered internal composition of the bean itself. That's why it has to be consumed as fresh as possible and the usual shelf life is shorter.
The best course of action, therefore, is to order as much coffee as you need for about a month so that you have freshly roasted decaf coffee in constant supply and you don't have to worry about it going stale.
