Our Brazil Oberon Decaf is sourced from the celebrated Cerrado region in southwestern Minas Gerais, a plateau famous for its highly stable climate and rolling elevations. This particular lot is a beautifully curated blend of Mundo Novo, Catuaí, and Bourbon varietals, grown between 900 and 1,250 meters above sea level. Because the region benefits from incredibly uniform weather patterns, the coffee cherries ripen at the exact same pace, giving this Brazilian decaf coffee a highly consistent, balanced foundation before it ever reaches our roastery.

Before undergoing decaffeination, the cherries are processed using the traditional natural (dry) method, meaning they are dried in the sun with the fruit still intact. This allows the beans to absorb the natural sugars from the coffee cherry, which is why this lot retains such a rich, full-bodied sweetness. To remove the caffeine without sacrificing flavour, the beans undergo a gentle, chemical-free natural water process. This ensures you get all the rich complexity of a premium specialty Arabica without any chemical aftertaste.

We roast this decaf to a smooth, accommodating profile in Leeds, aiming to highlight its comforting, dessert-like qualities. In the cup, it is incredibly low in acidity, delivering a creamy mouthfeel packed with notes of milk chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and sweet honeycomb.
