Sourced from one of Guatemala’s most renowned coffee-growing regions, our Guatemala Antigua coffee offers a cup brimming with history and flavour. The Antigua region, famed for its high elevations and fertile, volcanic soil, produces some of the finest coffee beans in the world. Here, sunny days and cool nights create the perfect environment for developing a clean, bright acidity that’s both refreshing and complex.

But it’s not just the altitude and climate that make this coffee special. The mineral-rich soil, enhanced by volcanic ash and pumice, provides the essential nutrients that give this coffee its distinctive taste. The pumice in the soil plays a crucial role by retaining moisture, counteracting the lower average rainfall in the region, and ensuring that every bean is nurtured to perfection.

Once harvested, the coffee cherries are brought to the Santa Bárbara Mill, just a short distance from Antigua’s city centre. Here, the beans undergo meticulous wet processing—a method that enhances their natural brightness and clarity. Afterward, they are carefully sun-dried on expansive patios, capturing the warmth of the Guatemalan sun, before being finished in mechanical driers. This precise drying process guarantees consistent quality and flavour in every batch.

Excellent Coffee

A very smooth coffee, perhaps lacking in a bit of punch but certainly easy to drink and hard not to like.
